CRYOTHERAPY

Cold Recovery
Simple And Fast

Cryotherapy is a quick, non-invasive, non-medical approach used by many people as a healing and recovery tool.  Cryotherapy utilizes liquid nitrogen to expose the skin’s surface to low temperatures  (between -220-256 degrees Fahrenheit (120-165 C)) for 2-3 minutes.   This creates vasoconstriction, oxygenation and reflex vasodilation leading to nutrient delivery.

Cryotherapy has been widely used by athletes, biohackers, and executives to power optimal restoration.

Benefits Of Cryotherapy

Sports Recovery

Cryotherapy can help speed up post exercise muscle recovery through its ability to clear lactic acid and inflammation due to reflex vasodilation from cold induced vasoconstriction.

Pain Management

Cryotherapy can help with acute and chronic pain, specifically rheumatoid arthritis, tendinopathy, fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis.

Increased Energy Levels

Cryotherapy can stimulate feel-good hormones called endorphins, generating a relaxing effect improving energy levels and helping with anxiety and depression.

Treatment Specifics

Getting prepared for a whole body cryotherapy treatment requires more mental preparation than anything else.  It begins with the completion of some paper work providing your consent.

You are then guided into a private cryotherapy room.  Here you remove all your clothes with the exception of your underwear and socks and relax in a robe, gloves and slippers until instructed to remove only your robe before stepping into the chamber.

The door closes behind you.  The floor then raises until you’re head is above the top end of the chamber.  You are ready.  Liquid nitrogen vapor fills the chamber while inside,  creating a cold sensation on your skin as you turn your body throughout the session for full coverage.

The treatment lasts approximately 3 minutes.  Once complete, the floor retracts downwards and you can open the door and exit.  We hope you enjoy your session.

Note: All patients must be 18 years or older to undergo cryotherapy, unless with formal signed parental consent. Furthermore, please consult with your physician for any contraindications relating to cryotherapy:

  • Claustrophobia
  • Cold allergy
  • Pregnancy
  • Severe hypertension
  • Acute or recent myocardial infarction
