Taimur’s (Tay-more’s) many qualifications include; a Master’s of Fitness Science, an Honors Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, a Certificate in Fitness Assessment and Exercise Prescription, as well as being a Certified Exercise Physiologist with the Health & Fitness Federation of Canada for over 5 years.
Currently, he is putting these skills towards furthering Dr. Veronica Jamnik’s research at the Human Performance Laboratory of York University. Alongside research, he works to implement and develop rigorous fitness testing for firefighters, Powerline workers and Hydro-Ontario employees.
In training, Taimur works to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. His approach focuses on individual physiology and ability, seeking to treat each person as an opportunity to take a deep-dive into their specific needs and goals. He believes in supporting his clients in implementing prescriptions, and ensuring that those prescriptions are based on the most reliable and up-to-date research available. He firmly believes in collaboration, especially within the incredible team at BioNektar.
